How far is Quinta Christileen from the Puerto Vallarta airport?
Quinta Christileen is about 45 minutes from the Puerto Vallarta airport. The drive is beautiful along the coast and through towns and villages.
How can we get there?
You can either rent a car at the Puerto Vallarta airport, (driving is on the right-hand side) or arrange to have a taxi or private car take you.
What is provided at Quinta Christileen?
We know you’ve traveled a long way and we’ve tried to think of everything to make your vacation an enjoyable and relaxing experience. We provide: beach and bath towels, linens, a full gourmet kitchen with plates, glasses, utensils, a state-of-the-art margarita blender, custom wood and/or charcoal burning grill, a stereo sound system with three separate zones of volume control (Grand Room, Kitchen, and Pool), wireless high-speed DSL internet connection, and a television area with DVD, VHS, and Satellite TV. The telephone system includes a local Mexican line and a Vonage, voice over internet, line for free calls to the United States and Canada. If traveling with a baby, we offer a pack ‘n play. We even have a washing machine and dryer.
Is there a sandy beach nearby?
Quinta Christileen is on the beach. It can’t get any closer.
Is it possible to hire additional help?
Our staff of three is generally quite adequate and efficient. However, if you have a large party, it may be necessary to add an additional maid or bartender.
Are there grocery stores nearby?
The local villages have grocery stores, fresh meat and fish markets, fresh vegetables, and just about anything you will need. Our staff will do the shopping for you based on the meals you choose. Of course, you will need to pay for the food and beverages.
Will I be able to use my credit cards? Can I get cash from the banks with my credit cards?
Yes, to both questions. All major credit cards (except Discover) are widely accepted. In restaurants, it is best to ask before ordering, not every business accepts credit cards. All of the banks will give cash advances, most have ATM machines at their locations.
Will my hair dryer (portable iron, electric toothbrush, etc.) work in Mexico?
Yes, if you are from the U.S. or Canada. Mexico uses the same voltage as the United States. If you are coming from Europe, or any country that uses 220 volts, you will need the proper adapters.
Can I drink the water?
Quinta Christileen has a state-of-the-art water filtration system. Chlorination, Particle and Activated Charcoal filter, UV Filters, Water Softener, and finally Reverse Osmosis. Just to make our guests feel really comfortable, bottled water is available with hot and cold dispenser buttons. We also purchase commercial ice in town.
Will my cell phone work in Mexico?
Most cellular services work at Quinta Christileen. We know Verizon and AT&T work, but check with you provider about roaming charges. We use Verison and we know that they have an international plan that covers Mexico. In addition, we have wireless internet access and phones with WiFi capabilities, such as BlackBerry and iPhone, can connect to make calls.
Can I use my laptop computer to get my email and browse the internet?
Yes, you can use your laptop to get email and surf the web. Quinta Christileen has high-speed DSL with wireless access. In order to access the wireless network, you will need to enter a security code in the wireless settings on your computer. The code is found on the bottom of the wireless router inside our home. We enjoy checking our email every morning from the poolside table.
Is it safe around Punta Mita and Quinta Christileen?
Yes, what you read and hear about in Mexico is in the Northern Border Region. Puerto Vallarta and specifly Punta Mita is one of the best and safest tourist areas in the world. Quinta Christileen is located on a quiet country beach.
What about hospitals and doctors?
The closest medical clinic is a 10 minute drive to Punta Mita. They have 24/7 ambulance with full up-to-date paramedic service as well as doctors at the clinic.
