Litibu Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico. It is about 3 miles of unspoiled surf and sand. The beach has a gentle incline so you are able to walk out into the waves and enjoy the warm water. This is the ocean, not a lake or bay, so nature dictates the size of the waves. In the winter they can be quite energetic yet enjoyable for a swim. The summer time brings gentle swells, so depending on the time of year nature will give you different pleasures. The sand is great for long walks where you may see baby turtle hatchlings making their way from their nest to the sea, and Pelicans making their morning and evening cruises over the surf. In front of our home is a small rock garden, where locals harvest oysters and dive for lobster. On both sides of our natural garden are smooth sandy beaches that incline gently into the surf.
